Marketing Communications Coordinator – Rutgers Cancer Institute 2023 – Present

● Serve as an oncology content expert and resource for the marketing leads across the RWJBarnabas Health facilities.
● Lead content creation strategy for Rutgers Cancer Institute including social media platforms such as LinkedIn,X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and BlueSky, which serve as the prime outlets for the RWJBarnabasHealth Oncology Service Line.
● Developed and executed a robust content strategy for the leading up to and following the opening of the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, the state’s only freestanding cancer hospital.
● Work closely with the RWJBarnabas Health corporate media team to ensure post amplification.
● Created #MondaysAtTheMorris campaign, videos, reels, photographs, and other post content specific to the Morris Cancer Center.
● Increased social media following across all platforms by 10.7K, generated 7.2M impressions, and initiated 4.9 M views of the Rutgers Cancer Institute’s social media pages since March 2023.
● Develop and execute a strategic media plan for major oncology conferences including but not limited to the ASCO and ASH Annual Meetings.
● Utilize and lead physician-focused media efforts as part of US News and World Report strategy. Including creation of standardized formats for promoting poster and oral presentations at conferences, as well as creating engaging content through videos, reels of the booth & photos throughout the conferences.
● Identify and create engaging content with doctors, researchers & other teams to promote their specific expertise
● Conceive ideas and produce videos of Rutgers Cancer Institute experts to promote services, awareness months,and other important topics and information.
● Design and develop infographics for awareness months and other topics.
● Post on Rutgers Cancer Institute platforms and share with site marketing leads at RWJBarnabas Health
● Monitor the Rutgers Cancer Institute social media accounts including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, BlueSky and YouTube.
● Assist Rutgers Cancer Institute physicians and research faculty in establishing their LinkedIn and/or X/Twitter platforms and serve as a resource for their efforts.
● Work closely with the Oncology Physician Liaison to increase visibility of specific physicians. Suggest targeted tactics to help increase patient volume and referrals.
● Develop and execute media posts to share important information about clinical hours, storm-related information,visitor policy changes, and other urgent news that must reach our patients and employees.
● Create monthly analytic reports for social media platforms to share with leadership. Utilize these analytics to inform content and increase engagement.
